Decoupage is the decoration style that allows to create imitations in all kinds of forms and styles - from ancient vases through Victorian furniture to Provencal dishes and Orthodox icons. 9 and 10 December is when the 6th National Artistic Handicrafts Exhibition CRAFTS expo is held in Targi Kielce – this is the chance to see the unique products by the Prakseda Collection, the studio specializing in this type of artistic decoration
Prakseda Collection – the studio and shop owned by Mrs. Małgorzata Chmielewska. Małgorzata Chmielewska's interests include artistic handicrafts. Each of her works is unique and distinguished with unique ornamentation. One of the techniques she uses is aging - the method designed to imitating antique-looks on all functional and decorative objects made of glass, ceramics, porcelain, wood - things such as (e.g. furniture), paintings and frames, as well as metals. The art of decoupage in creation of a perfect drawing - an illusion on the surface of objects. Products decorated with this technique gain a noble appearance and soul,. They look as if they came from a previous era. A multitude of decoupage styles allows you to create any imitations. You can decorate everything - just a little bit of imagination, time and the right choice of materials is the right answer –says Małgorzata Chmielewska, the Prakseda Collection owner.
In her studio you can find lots of examples - beautifully decorated ceramic vases, mugs, cups. There are also unusual paintings that imitate icons or musical instruments as well as renovated furniture. The CRAFTS EXPO in Targi Kielce includes the studio's expo stand - this is where we can see unique Christmas products, original decorations, Christmas trees and antique ornaments. These can be an interesting and unforgettable holiday gift. Hand-embroidered tablecloths, curtains and curtains will also be on show.
