Whisbear is a new Polish company run by the two young mothers. It produces humming bears for newborns and infants; the bears have storm-conquered the market of products for children and have won parents' hearts in all corners of the world
Once again Kids' Time in Kielce will be the showcase for Whisbear. The idea this humming and buzzing toy has been known since the 70's, however the sound has never been its main function, just an additional option. The Wisbear founders - Mrs Julia Sielicka-Jastrzębska and Mrs Zuzanna Sielicka - Kalczyńska wanted to develop a toy which will produce the right sound for long enough to soothe and lull a newborn. The innovative CRYsensor feature makes the Whisbear automatically activates the sound whenever it detects that the crying is baby. The teddy bear shape has been created on the basis of children's drawings. The teddy bear has long legs; it is made of rustling materials in contrasting colourful. Its construction and composition boosts develop sensory of a child. With the use of magnets, the teddy bear can be easily hooked onto a cot or a stroller.
The turning point in the company's history was the idea to send the humming Bear Whisbear to the British royal family as a gift for the newborn princess Charlotte. Another success was the US State Department's invitation to the conference on Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi in July 2015 organised under the auspices of Barack Obama. Whisbear was presented as the example of an innovative business run by women-entrepreneurs. Then in 2016 the Whisbear brand won the most important prize - it has been Polish first brand to be nominated and win the Innovation Award, presented during the child-care products and services expo Kind and Jugend in Cologne.
2017 will be extremely important for the Whisbear brand. The company plans to expand to new markets, including the US one. Moreover, in the autumn this year Whisbear will introduce a novelty. Whisbears will be put on display at the D-127 expo stand (D Expo Hall)
