2018 PER ARTEM AD DEUM LAUREATES

The  Per Artem ad Deum Medal has been awarded for 13 years at the Targi Kielce's SACROEXPO. The Per Artem ad Deum Medal has been awarded by the Pontifical Council for since 2005; it is bestowed to those who enhance dialogue between the diversity of cultures in the contemporary world. This year's edition of the laureates-featuring conference will take on an unusual form. The foreword on sacral aspect of films will be delivered by rev. Marek Lis, a theologian, a film expert, the professor at the University of Opole, a member of the ecumenical jury at film festivals including the one in Cannes. His lecture will be preceded by a "live" interview conducted by Bishop Michał Janocha - the arts historian, a professor at the University of Warsaw with Fr. professor  Jan Andrzej Kłoczowski a Dominican, a theologian, a professor of philosophy who has been decorated with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. The next on the conference programme will be Michał Legan's lecture on the work of the greatest films directors who borders the sacral themes. After his speech, the guests gathered at the conference will have the opportunity to participate in another interview - a conversation between Irina Tatarova - a film analyst and researcher and Aleksander Sokurov, a Russian director and screenwriter, the winner of the Golden Lion at the 68th  Venice International Film Festival for his adaptation of the Faust. By the resolution of the European Film Academy, Sokurov was pronounced one of the 100 best directors. 

Each of the conversations will wrap up with Q&A session between conference participants and the audience.  The film winner's screening will be the final accord of the event.

The conference is held on 12/06/2018 from 10.00 to 14.00. Free admission - prior participants registration required.
