42 metres’ tall, 16 700 kg… Launched at EDURA

The gigantic ladder put on display only in Targi Kielce

The FIRE–MAX is the world-leader of rescue equipment sector; it provides cutting-edge technological solutions applied for fire protection and combat as well as rescue actions, natural disaster result mitigation and industry-related accidents.

FIRE–MAX has used the EDURA expo as the showcase for the world’s first ladder which features a singe, polyline ladder span of 42 metres and a ladder book with load capacity of 400 kg mounted on Iveco Magirus M 42 L –AS. Not only is the ladder 10 metres longer than its previous version, but it also provides for a wider range of technical and tactical capabilities. Owing to a set of sensors located at the sides of the spans, it taks just a fraction of a second for the central computer unit to recognise and process signals informing about the ladder position and to implement corrective actions. The overwhelming ladder size has also gained the trade fair jury recognition – the company has been awarded with the Edura Foundation accolade.

- We have been truly delighted to put our ladder on display at the EDURA expo. The polyline span technology provides for top-quality parameters in rescue operations, and thus it allows to reach limited-acces areas such as dense building developments, balconies or terraces. – says Piotr Bajor FIRE–MAX Deputy President of Board – We have always highly valued our participation in EDURA as it is the presentation platform for robust life-saving equipment and solutions; the expo displays appliances which cannot be seen in one-to-one meetings. The expo is the right form of presentation as well as the meeting place of equipment users.
