The child products and services business sector — one of the most dynamically developing industries. Last year's revenues of companies which sell toys in Poland exceeded PLN 600 million. The industry's changes and growth can be seen at the Kids' Time expo which has just started at Targi Kielce
We buy more and more toys this has been demonstrated by the research carried out by RMD Research. The products for children market reported the 5 percent increase compared to 2016. Parents are ready to buy building blocks, sport equipment and teddy bears for their kids. What is worth emphasizing, we spend more and more money on toys; we do not limit our budget and we are therefore more ready to buy premium brands products. The sums we spend on toys exceed 100 PLN.
LEGO is the most important player on the Polish toy market. Parents choose LEGO blocks most often, much to their children's satisfaction. What comes as a surprise is the fact that 2017's best-selling product was ... the BestWay pool with a support frame. In the industry rankings, the Polish Trefl company marks its strong presence; they came fifth in sales results.
The toy market is strongly seasonal - this was emphasized by Paweł Szmidt, a representative of RMD Research in his lecture in Targi Kielce. We buy the largest number of products in December, however the industry reports strong grows in February (the Valentine's Day shopping) and in June when parents shop for sports equipment for children.
