- Professor Poczta once said, and it was a bold and and especially true statement, that the rural areas changes are fundamental and epoch-making. In my understanding this statement confirms the fact that these two areas set the basis for civilization processes, ensure rural areas development for the decades to come. What makes us particularly glad is the fact that the changes that have taken place in this sector have affected mentality to a large extent. This has been indicated in the reports that in 2004 the European Union's idea enjoyed the support of 24% of farmers, while in 2014 it has gone up to 68%. This provides tremendous growth potentials and dynamism and has been demonstrated with the on-going Agrotech Expo development - said Mr. Piotr Żołądek, a member of the Voivodship Board at the opening of the Expo.
An important role of business meetings organisers was also stressed Mr. Arkadiusz Bąk, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Chairman of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Assembly.
- The AGROTECH Expo gives the chance to become familiar with the latest solutions and agricultural technology from all corners of the world. The simultaneously held LAS-EXPO is a perfect complement. There are at least the two national treasures for every Pole, the two things they treasure most - the land which makes us live and the forests which let us breathe - continued Mr Bąk during the ceremony.
The International Fair of Agricultural Techniques AGROTECH and the Timber Industry & Forest Resources Management Fair LAS-EXPO continue until Sunday.
