64 330 visitors - the number of visitors at this year's Agrotech. The exhibition tops its own record!
The exhibition grounds' area accounted for 62.5 thousand square metres. Three days' International Fair of Agricultural Techniques AGROTECH held in Targi Kielce attracted crowds of farmers and agricultural school students were teeming at the expo stand of 700 exhibitors from 17 countries. Following many-year tradition, the Timber Industry & Forest Resources Management Fair LAS-EXPO was held parallel to AGROTECH. The 16th LAS-EXPO edition was a showcase for the record-breaking number of machines.
Last year's Agrotech hosted 61.5 thousand visitors and thus set the exhibition's attendance record. This year's edition proved to be even more popular among farmers. Crowds of visitors toured over the 7 Exhibition Halls and 4 special pavilions erected for the occasion as well as the outdoor display with numerous machines and appliances on show.
Top exhibitors from 17 countries
The 22nd edition of Kielce's agricultural trade fair was the showcase for dozens of cutting-edge machines, including combines worth a few million PLN, modern tractors and a whole range of smaller agricultural machines such as sprayers, soil-cultivation aggregates and equipment farms cannot go without. In addition to Polish companies, manufacturers from: Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Slovenia, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Finland, Great Britain, the USA, Hungary, Latvia, Slovenia held their expo presentations. The latest machines launched into the Polish market were also presented by the leading companies, and among them: New Holland, John Deere, Ursus, Case IH, Farmtrack, Kuhn, Deutz-Fahr, Claas and many others.

The expo hosted, inter alia: Rafał Romanowski, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Modernization, Łukasz Hołubowski, President of the Agricultural Market Agency, Waldemar Humięcki, President of the Agricultural Property Agency, Jacek Dubiński, President of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund, Tomasz Zawiła - Niedźwiedzki, Deputy Director General of the National State Forest Holding. The city and the region authorities also graced the expos with their presence. There were also official delegations from Ukraine, Federal Republic of Germany, Moldova and New Zealand.
Gold Medals, contests, premières.
The 22 AGROTECH included the awarding ceremony - the Targi Kielce Gold Medals in recognition of innovative technical solutions, the Cup of the Minister of Agriculture as well as a whole array of prizes and distinctions from agricultural institutions were presented. There was a whole array of compelling presentations and events, among them the première presentation of Ursus Vigus Power tractor, Farmtrack tractor unveiling, first-time presentations of New Holland and many others producers. The conference designed to present the winners of the "Tractor of the Year 2016" competitions was one of the programme highlights. The National Finals of Young Agricultural Producers Olympics 2016 organised by Rural Youth Association were also held within the scope of the expo. Dawid Krawczyk was pronounced this year's winner.
Isle of Innovations
The problem-focussed symposia accompanied the expo - these focussed on agriculture, new machines for 2016's season, seed, fertilizer and many other topics. The largest exhibition hall housed the special "Isle of Innovations". This has been designed especially for the expo by the Agricultural Advisory Centre in Brwinów in conjunction with other 8 research and development institutes. The island was the place to meet specialists. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and related agencies' expo stands offered consultancy services - this was the best place to learn all about the regarding RDP 2014-2020 subsidies.
Exhibitor's opinions
- 2016's edition of Agrotech came as a great surprise. So many visitors, many of them were particularly interested in our machines - Piotr Dziamski, head of marketing at John Deere recapitulates the expo. - With a great number of media representatives, the expo enjoyed an extensive coverage.
- This year's expo can be compared to the agricultural fair in Hanover - commented Leszek Weremczuk, president Expom - Krośniewice. - The number of visitors was record-breaking.
- At Agrotech every year we meet farmers who share their insights on New Holland machines operation and construction - said Józef Dębski, New Holland Product Specialist.
Media? Present!
214 journalists from 76 editorial teams were accredited at the Kielce Agrotech. Not only were they the industry magazines and portals representatives. The expo enjoyed the national press, television, radio coverage. On March 19, Agrotech was the setting for the agricultural TV programme "Week" aired on TVP1 Polish National Broadcaster. Jeff Verhaeren, Belgian journalist was the special guest of the first day of the expo. Mr Verhaeren is head of the European Network of Agricultural Journalists. From 1 February to 20 March, i.e. the last day of the expo, over 660 publications featuring Agrotech appeared in the media.
Las-Expo equally successful
The 2016's LAS-EXPO, the forestry-exhibition held parallel to AGROTECH was a record-breaking one with regards to the largest number of machines on display. 47 Polish forestry companies made their expo presentations. Following previous years' tradition, LAS-EXPO was accompanied with falconry demonstrations and live-performances of hunting buglers as well as dynamic presentations of machines in operation. The "State Forests. Enjoy" campaign was promoted by the National State Forest Holding. On their stands they presented woodlands natural values and tourism in Polish forests. And although the weather on the last day of the fair was not very pleasant for visitors in the outdoor exhibition grounds,
Targi Kielce already announces that the upcoming Agrotech and Las Expo edition is held from 17 to 19 March 2017!
