Kielce’s AGROTECH is one of Europe’s largest exhibitions which is the showcase for agricultural equipment – said Andrzej Butra the Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development upon opening the 18th International Fair Of Agricultural Techniques held in targi Kielce – it is not a surprise that Polish farmers, owing to sustainable finance resource distribution from the 1st and 2nd pillar of Common Agricultural Policy, continually modernise their farms an introduce modern equipment and technologies. This attitude makes our agriculture more competitive and efficient; however at the same time it presents its most precious values, i.e. sustainable development.
The opening ceremony took place in the TK Conference Centre at 9.30; present day problems of agriculture were also addressed during the function; and among them the 2012 and 2013 subsidy issues – This is a difficult period for agriculture. The subsidies for agriculture have been reduced by 0,5 billion PLN. Creation of supra-political strategy is our ultimate goal; it is designed to provide finances for Polish agriculture which would facilitate its development in the years to come – said the Parliament Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development Speaker Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski.
The presence of honourable guests added splendour to the ceremony of the trade fair opening: Bożentyna Pałka – Koruba Świętokrzyskie Voivode, Adam Jarubas Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal, Czesław Gruszewski Deputy Mayor of Kielce, special guests, exhibitors and trade fair guests.
