Products on display tailored to Poland’s requirements: the combat-proven H225M Caracal and the Tiger HAD attack helicopter with 30mm turret cannon as well as the versatile H145M military helicopter
Kielce, 26 August 2015 – Airbus Group and its Divisions will showcase their portfolio of advanced helicopter, defence and security products at the 23rd MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition, which runs
1-4 September in Kielce, Poland. The Group will have a major presence incorporating a static display for real helicopters, a hospitality area, meeting rooms and a large stand to display equipment and welcome government delegations.
Airbus Helicopters’ static display will present the H225M Caracal which was pre-selected by the Polish government and that passed operational tests with the Polish army earlier this year. The H225M has been deployed on multiple challenging theatres of operations and has proven its capabilities on the market as a heavy, single platform. It is a modern and combat proven helicopter able to perform the widest range of missions from tactical transport and special operations to combat search & rescue and maritime patrol.
Alongside the H225M will be Airbus Helicopters’ multi-role attack helicopter, the Tiger HAD. It is designed to perform armed reconnaissance, air or ground escort, air-to-air combat, ground firing support, destruction and anti-tank warfare, day or night and in adverse conditions. The Tiger attack helicopter has proven its capabilities during operational deployments in Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Somalia, Libya and Mali. The enhanced Tiger HAD variant provides air-to-ground missile capability, improved target acquisition and ballistic protection, 14 percent more power, an evolved electronic warfare suite, and the latest interrogation systems.
And to complete the display there will be a mock-up of the H145M. The H145M is an economical and versatile military helicopter covering the entire spectrum of military missions, from light utility to light attack and twin engine training. The H145 family offers reliability and low operating costs and is especially the reference for law enforcement organizations and military services – including the U.S. Army, with its UH-72A Lakota version.
Airbus Defence and Space will underline its intelligence capabilities by showing the Atlante Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and the AstroBus-S Earth observation satellite. Military aircraft solutions shown at the stand include the market leading A330 MRTT, the new generation tanker transport solution, the C295, the versatile platform for transport and ISR missions, and the PZL-130 Orlik, the multi-purpose basic trainer.
