AIRBUS JOINS 2017'S MSPO

Airbus takes part in this year's International Defence Industry Exhibition. Airbus is represented by Airbus Defense and Space, Europe's largest defence equipment company, a global leader in telecommunication satellites production and the exporter of surveillance satellites

Visitors to F6 expo stand will receive information on the products offered by Airbus Defense and Space.  The portfolio includes the A330 MRTT transport aircraft, a true role-model for other types of aircraft in its class as well as the PZL-130 Orlik TC-II aircraft that is to undergo a series of modifications this year, following the Polish Air Force's requirements.  The light and medium-size transport aircraft is represented by Airbus C295 reconnaissance aircraft, one of the cornerstones for the company's successes in Poland – the foundation of the C295 aircraft service centre in Warsaw.  This year the Polish service team celebrates sixth years in providing excellent services.


The Airbus Space Systems finds Poland the market in its development phase which demonstrates a strong demand for telecommunication products and Earth observation satellites based on the AstroBus-S platform. The latter will be presented at the show as a mock-up.  Airbus Defense and Space has proven to be a relliable and ronust partner for Polish the space industry companies.  At the end of last year, Airbus Defense and Space opened a new Clean Room facility located at Warsaw's Okęcie; this is where satellite parts are produced. Airbus Defence has again confirmed its commitment to the industry's development and its success in the European markets.

 

For more than 15 years, Airbus has been a strategic partner for Poland's aviation industry.  Airbus directly employs more than 900 people.  Airbus and its suppliers participate in numerous investments in Poland aimed at creating new jobs in the coming years.  The company has a large production base in Warsaw and a specialized design centre in Łódź. Airbus also cooperates with technical universities and small and medium-sized enterprises and  thus Airbus carries out innovative projects in close bonds with local stakeholders and therefore supports the development of future solutions.
