Poland's first-time expo will be accompanied with a specialised conference
The Inland Fisheries Expo will be held from 27 to 28 November 2015. The fishery expo will be the showcase for a wide range of products and services, and among them fishing gear and equipment, fish breeding and farming equipment and appliances, fish farms' and ports' and vessels' offer, water- and land-borne transport services. The trade show will also provide a chance to become familiar with specialized scientific research and examination.
The exhibition programme will also encompass the Inland Fisheries Congress. Its programme will address, inter alia, subsidies schemes in the 2014-2020 perspective, current state and prospects for aquaculture and inland fisheries in Poland, food stuffs legal aspects, regional fish products as well as or certification in aquaculture.
- Poland's fishing industry has become increasingly competitive. We are Europe's leaders in terms of carp production. With EU funds not only have the existing facilities been modernization but many new investments have started; this has translated into increased production and employment boost in the fisheries sector. We are at the the new perspective's stepping stone this brings the "Fisheries and the Sea" Operational Programme. In this context it is worth considering further development directions for Poland's fisheries sector so as to enhance its competitiveness on the European and the world's market. The fishery business-sector's everyday problems cannot possibly be neglected; this particularly important in the light of this year's drought. The adverse weather conditions will certainly affect carp price in the coming years. I wish to express my gratitude to the organizers and praise the congress idea.
