The sixth edition of International Fair of Rural Tourism and Agrotourism AGROTRAVEL has accompanied with a press conference organized by the Regional Tourist Organisation. The event was attended by the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism - Katarzyna Sobierajska, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development-Tadeusz Nalewajk, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship - Adam Jarubas and Targi Kielce President CEO Andryej Mochoń PhD. The AGROTRAVEL Expo Partner Country and Region have also had their representatives. Ukraine was represented by Natalia Soleiko, Deputy Chairman of the Vinnitsya Oblast, Wielkopolska Voivodeship by Tomasz Bugajski, Board Member of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship. The conference highlighted the role and the significance of agro-tourism, both in Poland's and Europe's economy. The press conference was also the presentation platform for the most important factors which have a direct impact on the sector's development.

- Tourism business sector generates almost 6% of Gross Domestic Product, therefore it is high time for the rural tourism and agro-tourism sectors to strengthen their position and and become a significant economy element. I think it is time for us to create a fashion for countryside holidays, which in a sense, has already been created in our country and has also been gaining more clients from foreign markets. The years to come will be marked with promotion of Poland as an attractive tourist destination; in conjunction with the Polish Organisation we will want to to promote Polish countryside holidays - said Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Katarzyna Sobierajska.
