Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD announced the Visionary of 2012 in the first edition of the ranking, in recognition of development and realisation of his vision to modernise and expand the Kielce trade fair and exhibition centre

Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD announced the Visionary of 2012 in the first edition of the ranking, in recognition of development and realisation of his vision to modernise and expand the Kielce trade fair and exhibition centre. The accolade is presented to the peoples who influence a dynamic development of their companies and thus impact Poland’s economy development; not only are they afraid of new challenges but create new challenges for themselves. The presentation ceremony was held on 28th September in Sopot during the European Forum for New Ideas in Sopot

There have been as many as sixty competition entrants. There were fifteen contestants selected for final qualifying round; business people and managers of Poland’s largest companies and institutions. All they have possessed a vision and the courage to implement their courageous business ideas despite of the averse market conditions. And the Targi Kielce President of Board Mr Andrzej Mochoń PhD was one of the fifteen.

The contest chapter selected five finalists out of the 3rd phase nominees. These are the business people who have been successful in their policy realisation, who have had a positive impact over the financial and market situation. And, most important, they have contributed to at least 5 % increase of the company value, 15 % revenue increase or have provided at least 10% profit dynamics. The chapter has thoroughly considered the largest projects launched in the period of 1 June 2010 to January 2012.

The nominee list has comprised of such personalities as Zygmunt Solorz-Żak ˜– the Polkomtel president, Paweł Jaguś – President of Board of Qumak-Sekom S.A., Janusz Homa, President of Board of Software Mind S.A. Adam Góral – President of Board of Asseco Poland, Łukasz Kardas – President of Board of Ceramika Paradyż or Jacek Krawiec –PKN Orlen President of Board.

- A vision stands a chance to be successful only when there are the people who share the visions. I am lucky enough to work with the team which is willing to stand by my and realise these difficult tasks. Attaining the goal is most important. It is by no means easy as Targi Kielce aims really high. This makes me even more happy and satisfied to be presented with this accolade – said Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń.

Besides Andrzej Mochoń, the Visionary title of the first contest edition was also bestowed to Rafał Brzoska, President of Board of the Integer.pl group –for parcel machine service implementation and efficient challenge to the monopoly in the post and courier service sector, Adam Kiciński, CD Projekt Red President of Board – for the RPG Wiedźmin (The Witherer) game – two parts of the game sold in over 4 million copies, Wojciech Sobieraj, Alior Bank President of Board – for the Alior Sync implementation launch (first Poland’s internet bank of the new generation) Herbert Wirth, KGHM Polska Miedź President of Board – for successful take over of the Canadian mining holding group Quadra for the total amount of 9,1 billion PLN.

The chapter was composed of : Ryszard Petru – a partner in the PricewaterhausCooper and the President of Polish Economic Society, Mariusz Grendowicz Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the Money Makers SA, Aleksander Lesz - GNA SA President of Board, Łukasz Korycki deputy editor in chief of the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Marcin Piasecki the publisher of w DGP.
