ARMOUR-LIKE FOR CHILD SAFETY

According to inspections' results worldwide, 70% of the child-seats are not installed properly.  The seventh International Fair of Toys and Products for Mother and Child KIDS 'TIME was the chance to meet experts and be introduced to car-seat installation do's and dont's. 

Improper mounting angle may have a considerable impact which in turn influences the child's well-being and even life. Unfortunately, in manuals we do not the information that the seat must be adapted to the vehicle's seat and  installed with seat belts or the ISOFIX system. When a seat is installed, you should aid yourself with ... your knee.

- A robustly mounted car seat means that you cannot move sidewards. This is by no means easy, but expo presentations proved that even weak and feeble who weighs only 50 kg can also do it.  Just pay attention to the proper fastening, avoid twisted seat belts and tighten the seat with your knee. Thin people may even kneel on the seat pushing the knee against the seat's back - said Paweł Kurpiewski, the expert on child safety in cars, collisions bio-mechanics specialist.

The safest way to carry children is placing a rear-facing seat that can be used until the age of 4.  It is important that the child's belts are quite tight. The correct 0-13 seat assembly angle is between 30-45 degrees.
