BELLA ITALIA!

The AGROTRAVEL 2016 expo's partner country

BELLA ITALIA!

Every year the International Fair of Rural and Agricultural Tourism AGROTRAVEL features the Partner State. This year's exhibition features  Italy  and its region -  Umbria  a representative of the sunny Italy.

Republica Italiana Umbria Region  is famous for the world's most expensive mushrooms  - truffles. Fresh truffles are bought on auctions, price of a single mushroom may sometimes reach thousand EUR a piece. Visitors can taste truffles in Kielce at local food producers' stands. They will be selling cheese, olive oil, wine and other mouth-watering specialities. Umbria Region representation at Kielce event includes the medieval knights and their squires - Sbandieratori di Gubbio from the Italian Gubbio town. They will perform live and stage an unusual spectacle which encompasses pennants juggling. Kielce will also host a jazz orchestra - the band will be playing marches; The event promises to be loud, original, unusual and interesting. It is worth noting that the town of Gubbio was the setting for the first series of the Italian "Don Matteo" series.  Film producers were impressed with Gubbio. In Poland it was Sandomierz that made a great impression on film-makers.

Associazione Amici de Polonia in Umbria - Umbria Region is happy to be a part of  AGROTRAVEL expo held in Kielce. We will be represented by entrepreneurs. Our event participation was made possible thanks to the commitment of the Association of Friends of the Poland in Umbria. The Association is involved in organization of Polish-Umbrian meetings at different levels and devoted to different thematic areas.  AGROTRAVEL Expo brings together the agri-food sector's representatives; this encompasses promotion and confrontation of our cultures and traditions. In our work we support companies and entrepreneurs who care about regional products marked "Made in Umbria." Yet this is part of a larger whole; our activities are aimed at building a common Europe - the Europe of nations based on shared values, with different cultures, traditions, ways of life, small-scale production. This is Europe's strength. And this is owed to the European Commission's activities which calls for common measures to boost the development, progress and prosperity - says Fernanda Cecchini, assessor for agriculture in Umbria Region.
