Almost 1 billion PLN - this is the revenue the retail chains generated in 2015 on toys trading. A double-digit growth since 2014 has been observed with regards to the value of toys sold in retail chains. The data has been provided by the American research agency NPD. NPD keeps a watchful eye on sales in such chains as Empik stores Carrefour, Makro, Smyk, Tesco and ToysRUs. This report is based on the data collected from more than 1,000 retail chains' stores. NPD uses cash-till digital information to provide week-by-week split information of sales in particular chains, thus the market survey is considered the most reliable.
