Polish Football Association "Safe stadium" Conference has launched
- Improvement of safety at Polish stadiums is mainly associated with co-operation and dialogue. Cooperation with the football fans is an important element of the process. Therefore the Minister of Sport promotes the Polish Football Association joint project "Fans Together" - said Adam GIERSZ of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism upon opening of the conference. Giersz also added that today's conference makes an important contribution to strengthening the positive security.
The Ministry's representative's speech was followed by Marc TIMMER - UEFA Head for Stadiums and Security. His presentation emphasized the fact that Poland has made enormous progress and Poles should be proud of this achievement. The discussion opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of Targi Kielce Bozena Staniak and Commander in Chief of the Police Mark Działoszyński as well as the President of the Polish Football Association Zbigniew Boniek.
Since 2002 there has been a significant point in Targi Kielce's calendar of events; the National SAFE STADIUM Conference co-organized in conjunction with the Polish Football Association; the event brings together more than 400 participants. For a number of years the Conference was devoted to "UEFA EURO 2012 POLAND" preparations. The conference encompassed the key-importance issues of station and sports venues safety, audience sector monitoring and management as well as Poland’s sports infrastructure provision and development. The annual conference encompasses the professionals' debates.
