Targi Kielce and the Design Centrum Kielce have launched the international competition; it has been designed to find the best bicycle design. The LINK competition objective is to establish cooperation between producers of utility goods and designers as well as students of industrial design departments. It is also the form of promotion for quality design used in production and marketing. The competition creates a chance for the producers and designers to meet and establish relations.
The LINK competition is targeted at industrial design professionals and bicycle business sector aficionados. The two-phase contest was announced on 16th July 2012. Applications and designs should be submitted before 31st August 2012. The jury panel will then select the best projects which will compete in the second phase of the contest. The authors of these projects will be supposed to send in their presentation charts by 20th September 2012.
The contestants selected in the second competition phase will have their chance to present the bicycle designs and to confront them with the business insiders. The winners will put their ideas on display at a specially designed exhibition stand which will be a part of the 3rd International Fair of Bicycle Industry KIELCE BIKE-EXPO held in October. The most important business sector exhibition will be the showcase for the designers and will become a meeting platform on which to establish professional relations with the leading bicycle producers.
