The weather outside is frightful – freezing cold and horrible driving conditions, inside the Targi Kielce’s halls the atmosphere is really hot. This is owed to an unusual exhibition Kielce has the pleasure of hosting the following time – the National Pedigree Pigeon and Small Live Stock Exhibition. Thousands of visitors called in this morning. Almost 5,000 of pedigree pigeons have been put on display in the E hall by almost 450 breeders from Poland, Europe as well as the USA generate an avid interest among the guests; this has been complemented with the display of farm surpluses staged in the hall next door. Crowds are also swarming around the cages which serve as a display of over 200 rabbits and 350 decorative poultry specimens.

“This is the larges expo that has ever been held in Poland – said Jan Pajka - the President of Polish Association of Pigeon and Small Live Stock Breeders at the expo opening ceremony – we hope it will grow and become more excellent. We wish to express our gratitude for the trust we have earned from those who have decided to join the Kielce’s exhibition – adds Pajka

The press conference to present the large-scale plans

The press conference of PZHGRiDI Board of Managers was the presentation, among many other issues, of the far-reaching future plans. The PZHGRiDI deputy president for organisational matters Godfryd Kuryło has admitted that there are attempts to stage the European Pigeon Exhibition in Targi Kielce

“The successful cooperation with Targi Kielce has exceeded our wildest dreams and expectations – he said – Professional organisation, state-of-the-art infrastructure and deep involvement 0 this place presents great potentials. Our exhibition is a great success – not only is this a domestic scale success, but also the European-arena achievement. Thus we can take up the challenge of European meeting organisation. We can see European breeders coming to Kielce. This is a clear signal that our plans may find a practical application.
