EWA BANASZCZYK WINS TARGI KIELCE'S AWARD

The three Ewa Banaszczyk's oil paintings from the "Nic mi się nie śni [I'm not
dreaming]" series have been awarded by the Targi Kielce in the Przedwiośnie 38
competition

On June 26 the BWA Gallery in Kielce was the stage for the awarding ceremony of the contest Przedwiośnie 38 - Interdisciplinary Art Competition of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Ewa Banaszczyk has been honoured with the Targi Kielce's accolade.  The ceremony was a part of the Kielce Festival.

This year's edition of the Interdisciplinary Art Competition of Świętokrzyskie Voivodship Przedwiośnie 38 has gathered 87 artists; the jury panel assessed and apprised 247 works made in different techniques ranging from classical sculpture, drawing, through graphics, painting, collage, photography, and the technique which has gained increased popularity - video.  The jury panel has awarded 12 awards and 13 honourable mentions.

Targi Kielce has recognised the oil paintings on canvas painted by Ewa Banaszczyk; the works belong to the "I'm not dreaming" series. These are "Obiad w niedzielę [Lunch on Sunday]", " Coś planuję [Planning something]" and " Wyniki rozmów [The results of the talks]".  The painter is associated with Radom; for years she has belonged to the group of prominent artists who deal with visual arts.   

Post-competition exhibition consists of 126 works by 60 authors - the participants of this year's competition; the display includes Ewa Banaszczyk's works. The exhibition is open until 3 August at BWA Gallery in Kielce,  Capitulate 2 street.
