On Saturday, 29th June, within the scope of the Kielce’s Holiday there was the Ukrainian Day. It was designed the Kielce’s sister city – Vinnytsia. The event was featured over 200 artists from Vinnytsia; their performance was also exceptionally attractive as it gave the chance to become familiar with Ukrainian dance, music, folklore and handicraft.
The artistic ensemble visiting Kielce was accompanied by a special delegation composed of, inter alia, Mr. Volodymyr Groisman – Mayor of Vinnytsia, Sehiy Morhunov – the Vinnytsia City Council Secretary, Markijan Malsky – Ukraine Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Poland. The delegation had a tour over the congress and exhibition infrastructure of Targi Kielce; the guests were also introduced to the newly-built Congress Centre which is to be commissioned in August. The Ukraine representation also held a meeting with Kielce Mayor Mr Wojciech Lubawski, Deputy Kielce Mayor Mr Tadeusz Sayor, Swietokrzyskie Voivode Mrs Bożentyna Pałka – Koruba, the City Council Chairman Tomasz Bogucki and the Kielce Structural Projects and Municipal Strategy Department Head Mieczysław Pastuszko.
The meeting demonstrates the importance of partnership relations between Kielce and Vinnytsia.
