From tomorrow on, the Kielce exhibition and congress centre will host the most popular characters from manga, anime, console or computer games, books, films and comic-books. These days Targi Kielce will be the stage for the first National Festival of Fantasy, Games and Manga. The event is held from 8th to 10th August.

Those who will represent the highest visual level and will imitate the characters most closely are to be selected to participate in a special Cosplay contest. The tournament will take place on August 9 (Saturday) at 19.00. The competition is open for individual actors and mock-up groups. The competition is targeted at people who create costumes by themselves and then put the disguises on and act-out their favourite characters themselves.

Cosplay (taken from English- Costume playing) is rooted in Japanese culture where people dress up for  fantastic characters. Cosplay is designed to show the most accurate representation as a character; not only does it apply to the dress, but also to the character's way of moving or the tone of the voice.
