AGROTECH Agricultural Technology expo.  Targi Kielce's AGROTECH is much more than machines on display. This is also the platform to exchange experiences, knowledge and innovation.  Poland's biggest agricultural exhibition's agenda includes many conferences and industry-insiders meetings which feature  the best specialists.

The Seed Production Forum on "Benefits of using certified seeds" is organised bu Polish Seed Trade Association.  The meeting participants had the opportunity to listen to four lectures and take an active part in the discussion panel which followed.  The Forum was held in Targi Kielce's Congress Centre.  Leszek Chmielnicki, IPN President, Tadeusz Oleksiak PhD., IHAR - National Research Institute in Radzików, Tadeusz Sobczyński PhD. - Agricultural Advisory Centre in Minikowo, Szymon Szczodrak - the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture ARiMR  in Kielce and Karolina Barancewicz, Polish Seed Trade Association Poznań.

The specialists  invited to speak at the conference had their expose on biological factors of cereal yield increase in the integrated cereal protection, economic and organizational reasons for underutilisation of plant yield potentials in farms, changes in the subsidies system for seed material and 2018's direct payments.

The use of qualifiedseed material was described by Karolina Barancewicz from the Polish Seed Trade Association  -Undoubtedly, agriculture has seen increased global importance. Despite the exports surplus, Poland is not self-sufficient
 as far as food production
is concerned.  The use of certified seed  offers benefits for the farmer - better quality yield, higher sales prices, reduced production costs, reduced expenditure on seed protection are just some examples of advantages.
