According to nutrition experts’, including the American psychologist and therapist Jane Firbank, the colour of a dish is more important than its taste than flavour. . This comes as a surprise, however - a plate full of colourful salads is "tastier" to the eyes than the one with potatoes in a dull-coloured gravy. A variety of colours gives off a signal to the brain - this offers the possibility to change culinary tastes and thus awakens the desire to follow "new paths of flavours".
The more bright colours on the plate, the greater the appetite and interest in the dish.
When we need energy, we should eat more red and orange food. A purple plum is recommended for romantic dishes for two. Feeli like an drink energizing drink? Choose yellow, lemon drinks.
"Eat nice and colourful – it’s healthy" this is the lecture title. This presentation is a part of the Eco-Style and Organic Products event - a part of the Kielce Slow Life event. Come and meet the psycho-dietician, nutrition educator - Magda Kowalska.
