FRUITPRO - A HORTICULTURAL CONFERENCE AT THE TARGI KIELCE'S HORT-TECHNIKA

The FruitPro conference is he discussion platform about the most up-to-date problems of the industry now and in the coming years.  The conference also offers the analysis of Polish producers’ business opportunities on foreign markets. - Great Britain is not an easy market.  at the same time this is undoubtedly one of the most lucrative markets.  You need to follow important rules - said John Giles, the British fruit market  expert during his lecture  - Market analysis, business plans, collaboration with the largest distributors - this is the key for success. However relationships, established and sustained is the most important thing.  After 2-3 years, it is necessary to analyse the success story until now in order to draw conclusions for the future. A strong buyer needs a strong supplier - recapitulates John Giles.

Adam Paradowski discussed the apples production in Poland and in the world. The analysis of the 2018’s harvest shows record-breaking harvest in our country juxtaposed with China’s low results. He underlined the growing importance of producers from Serbia, Moldova and Ukraine and presented forecasts for the future.

The first day of the conference (February 13) focusses on: apples in supermarkets - trends in sales and expectations towards suppliers, the Poland’s and Europe’s apple market situation, global trends in apple trade and export - opportunities and challenges for Polish producers and exporters, KISS program - a strategy to protect orchards from the most important diseases based on the experiences from Belgium and the Neherlands, reliable orchard protection with modern co-crystal technology, apple mildew - practical solutions in fungicide protection.

The second day (February 14) focuses on precision farming - precise orchards fertilization - opportunities and restrictions, the Chinese apple market - an opportunity or a threat for Poland, India - a new direction for the  global apple export. Consumption and sales trends, quality of plant protection products - the main causes for market irregularities - answers to the questions sent by the Internet and conference participants, how to protect the orchard in the blooming period and how to store apples in long distances transport.
