Mesko has signed an important contract at the MSPO
On Tuesday, the second day of the 22nd of International Defence Industry Exhibition , a contract for the production and supply of Air Defence System Grom for the Lithuanian army was signed in the presence of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence Czeslaw Mroczek.
Lithuanian Ministry of Defence was represented by Brigadier General Gintautas Zenkevicius, the National Director for Armaments.
Today's event marks a very special day for Mesko and Poland's defense industry. Grom missiles are the world-scale products, this missile will become a art of the equipment of the other armed forces .- stressed Minister Mroczek.
I wish to express my gratitude to the Minister for his support in the negotiation process which had preceded the agreement we have signed today. This clearly shows the importance of good relations with allies and neighbours . - General Zenkevicius highlighed. The contract with Lithuania will be implemented by Mesko. SA is of a long-time nature. Under this agreement missiles sets and the necessary equipment for training simulators will be produced and as well operation trainings will be provided.
Grom production is a very important project. The contract with Lithuania shows the outstanding reputation this product enjoys in the world. The agreement conclusion is the result of joint activities of the Poland's government, in particular of the representatives of Armament Policy Department MOD, and of the domestic defense industry. This is the only way to ensure that the military equipment produced in Poland will enter foreign markets hit . - said Waldemar Skowron, Mesko SA President of Board after the contract signing.
Thanks to the agreement signed today, the ultra-short range air-defense sets produced by the Skarżysko-Kamienna's company will now be exported to the fourth foreign client. Until now the system has been bought by: Georgia, Indonesia and Japan.
