The AVIATION EXPO is more than its interesting exhibition and knowledge-packed conferences, this is also a great opportunity to present young scientists’ achievements. This is admission-free event for HEI science associations

HEI SCIENCE CLUBS - WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE AVIATION EXPO

The Aviation Expo   scope is much broader than the light aviation offer on show. The display includes also avionics, airport and navigation systems, ILS lighting systems, large passenger airports services.   This event also offers a unique opportunity for young scientists to present their achievements and meet a wide audience.  Aviation Fair  already welcomes two scientific associations of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The members of "Melavio" will present several of their projects  and among them  M8 Marlin for  UAV Challenge 2018. A combination of a classic aircraft equipped with an internal combustion engine and an electric multi-rotor. A2 RAK - a drone made of composites and 3D printed elements according to the original design,  equipped with the collecting and delivering shipments module and the autonomous collision avoidance system.  RAK was used during the Droniada 2019 and IAV CUP 2019 competitions, in both of these events the Melavio team was first in the ranking.  A1 WAŻKA - experimental tiltwing UAV whose structure combines traditional and modern solutions.  The aircraft is equipped with three engines, two of which serve as the main propulsion system.  The tail tilted draft engine improves steerability and hovering stability.

Aviation Expo  also welcomes SAE Aero Design Student Inter-Faculty Scientific Association whose main objective is to participate in the international SAE Aero Design competitions held annually in the United States. The competition goal is to design and build unmanned aerial vehicles capable of lifting the largest possible load.  Both preparation and competition phases offer students unique experience in working on real projects. This is a real gateway to work in airlines. The Warsaw University of Technology team has participated in the competition since 1991. The experience, knowledge and skills are passed onto young generations of future engineers.  Combined with the innovative ideas of today’s association members  paves the way for regular successes in these prestigious competitions. This year, the Warsaw University of Technology team took part in the western edition held in Van Nuys, California. In total, there were 74 teams from around the world competing.  Despite the high level competition, the team members won as many as six medals.

We look forward to seeing you at the expo - the trade show welcomes all Scientific Clubs and Associations. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry sai "'I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things" - this is a uniting slogan for all sky-high adventures.
