The third Fruit and Vegetable Production Technology Expo is the showcase for nearly 100 companies. The event also brings together a number of recognized industry experts. The experts are here for the fruit and vegetable producers to find out how to get ready for the 2018's season
This year's edition encompasses an interesting exhibition of machines, equipment and accessories cut out for owners of small family farms as well as of large plantations. The exhibition encompasses cultivators and tools used in orchards and vegetable production. There are also all necessary fertilizers, biostimulants, protection sources and many other products useful for fruit and vegetable production. Kielce is the presentation stage for such companies as: Landini - with the series 2 tractor; Lisicki with sprayers, branch cutters and orchard mowers; Polsad with TX series forklifts. The well-known brands like New Holland, Kisiel, Case, Bury, Weremchuk, AR Chmielewscy, Yara, Agrola, KMK Agro and many others are also here.
Opportunities and threats for fruit and vegetable producers in 2018
HORTI-TECH 2017 is also the information pool regarding the next season's forectasts and blueprint. 21 November marks the beginning of the Economic Conference for Fruit and Vegetable Production Sector The experts representing the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - the National Research Institute will discuss issues related to Polish apples export in the 2017/18 season. The EU apples market will be presented by the acclaimed and appreciated specialist - professor Eberhard Makosz, Society for Promotion of Dwarf Fruit Orchards. The Ministry specialists will present the initiatives undertaken to regulate and support the fruit and vegetable sector. The industrial apples management will also be discussed. Mirosław Maliszewski, the President of Board at the Polish Orchard Producers Association will outline the current situation in Polish and the world fruit production markets. Witold Boguta, President of Board of the National Union of Fruit and Vegetable Producers Group will discuss opportunities and threats for Polish fruit and vegetable producers.
Business sector's experts at Targi Kielce
HORTI-TECH 2017 in addition to the conference also offers direct discussions with experts. Experts' advice is offered at expo stands of the Institute of Horticulture from Skierniewice, of KRUS Farmers' Social Security Fund KRUS, Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Centre, Agency for Modernization and Restructuring of Agriculture.
Specialised counselling is offered within the scope of the Fruit and Vegetable Production Technology Expo; this includes HortIntegra, for the third time at the expo. This is a meetings zone organised by the PNG Certification Body. HortIntegra focuses on integrated crop production, organic production and GAP food security.
Fork-lifts zone - a part of HORTI-TECH!
Last year, young people who specialise in sprayers calibration had their practical skills put to test. 2017 features forklifts operators. Forklifts are indispensable in fruit and vegetable production, they are used for harvesting, in fruit sorting facilities, in refrigeration halls and warehouses. On the first expo day i.e. on 21 November, a Special Fork Lifts Zone will at Targi Kielce becomes the presentations platform for forklift trucks. The exhibition will include 8 state-of-the-art UniCarriers, including the cutting-edge TX series. On the second day of the expo i.e. on 22 November visitors will learn how to tame the forklift safely and securely; fork-lift handling presentations under the specialist instructor's watchful eye. This is also a perfect day to prove your skills in a pallet stacking contest and in the truck slalom between barrels.
