This year's Wings gala ceremony held on Friday, September 25th at the Uroczysko Hotel in Cedzyna was exceptional - this has been the jubilee. Targi Kielce is one of the winners of this year's award in the category of "effective promotion of the region".
The distinction's underlying idea is promotion of our region's products and services. Statues for the best and most innovative products have already been presented for the 20 time. There have been fifteen winners - companies and institutions of the Świętokrzyskie region; they all have enjoyed a well-established market position in regional and Poland's market.
Their success was celebrated at the gala evening in the Uroczysko Hotel in Cedzyna, near Kielce. The companies and institutions have been selected by the Chapter, whose members represent the most important economic organizations of the region. The ceremony was graced with the presence of outstaning guests, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Grzegorz Schetyna, Arkadiusz Bak Deputy Minister of Economy and Beata Oczkowicz, Deputy Minister for National Defense.
A unique distinction
The Wings Economic Prize made its debut in 1996; then the event was organised under the banner of "Fleeing from Poland B". It has advanced to become the region's oldest and most prestigious economy-related award. The distinction recognises companies which are not afraid to face the new market reality, which offer good quality and innovative technology-based products. Today, twenty years later the awards have not lost on their importance. These prestigious awards are bestowed on companies, organizations and local government units that offer products and provide services based upon best practices. This quality wins the Chapters recognition.
Świętokrzyskie promotion
This year the "Echa Dnia [Echoes of the Day]" Editorial team has received many applications from companies and institutions; applicants believe their products, services and activities deserve recognition and awards. The choice was very difficult because the Chapter can present the 20 peer awards maximum. This year the organizers presented the 15 statuettes. And the choice was not easy; for years the global economy turmoil has also made an impact on our businesses. The Meat Processing Company Zychowicz from Daleszyce was presented a unique badge of honour - this year they celebrate their 25-year market presence; the company's excellent offer has never compromised on quality. Thus the firm received the diamond statuette.
Successful despite adversity
- Despite economic adversity, there are companies in Świętokrzyskie region which prove that success can be achieved even in such difficult circumstances. They continuously excel and improve their offer, advance service quality and reach for more modern solutions. This year's laureates fellowship comprises debut-companies and companies which have gained the laurels once again. Their development for new areas of business, equipment and new technologies investment and specialists skills enhancement have been decisive. - said Janusz Kania, deputy editor in chief of Echo Dnia.
The auditorium was filled to it capacity; the gala brought together representatives of the awarded companies, their families and friends. The well-known TV presenter Małgorzata Kosik was the evening host. The ceremony was complemented with a live performance of Sweet Combo band.
After the awarding ceremony the success was celebrated at a gala banquet.
