The Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń was one of the seven civilians from Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship to be decorated with the Gold Medal in Recognition of Merits for the Police. The medals were presented by the Minister of Interior and Administration Jerzy Miller. Those decorated with the medal were also congratulated by the Chief Police Commander, General Inspector Andrzej Matejuk as well as Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Police Commander, Inspector Mirosław Schossler and Świętokrzyskie Voivode Bożentyna Pałka- Koruba.
The medals were presented during the Police Day celebration held in 21st June in Sandomierz.
The ceremony in Sadnomierz gained extra splendour by the presence of the Minister of Interior and Administration Jerzy Miller, the Chief Police Commander, General Inspector Andrzej Matejuk and Świętokrzyskie Voivode Bożentyna Pałka- Koruba, self-government administration representatives from all the Voivodeship as well as the befriended uniformed forces representatives and Sandomierz area inhabitants. During the function the servicemen were promoted to higher ranks, with many of them also decorated with medals and distinctions.
The presentation of the state and sector awards to the credited police people was a very important part of the celebration.
On behalf of the Minister of National Defence the Brigadier General Artur Kołosowski presented the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Police Commander, Inspector Mirosław Schossler with the Medal for National Defence Merit.
In the afternoon at the Vistula Boulevard the opening ceremony of the family festivity “Safety, sobriety and clear mind – our common goal” was held. There were numerous contests where children, youth and adults could win themselves attractive prizes.
