INTERACTIVE APPLICATIONS IN HANDMADE ZONE!

The VIDEO section will be the presentation platform for graduate projects of of Industrial
as well as Graphic Design and Advertising students

On 15 and 16 November  the Institute of Fine Arts of Jan Kochanowski University    welcomes you to its expo stand at Targi Kielce's hall.

The  Exhibition of Artistic Gifts Handmade Zonethe  Institute will be presenting the the graduates' and PhD students' achievements.

One of the many presentations to be staged at the event is  Blink Glasses.  This is a real treat for all enthusiasts of innovative devices. This presentation is part of a Jakub Matys conceptual art project  "Everything we lose at a blink of an eye"

Blink Glasses are nothing else but glasses; with the use of special software the glasses make it possible to take a digital whenever the user blinks.

The design has utilised two USB webcams; one of them is responsible for tracking eye movement and spotting every blink. The other camera takes a photo which is presents the world the uses sees.  With the use of right software package, the set can be used as eye tracking device which allows e.g. paralysed people to control their computer through eye movement.

This project will be presented to the public in the form of a reportage which documents all creation phases - from conceptual sketches to a working prototype completion.

What is important the presentations will be staged with the active participation of the audience.
