The meeting was opened by Kielce Mayor; Wojciech Lubawski. The Conference is attended by about 100 people; its programme features the presentations and discussions devoted to Eastern Partnership seen from the local governments’ and regional governments’ perspectives of the EU member states as well as to the European Union Eastern Policy and International Co-operation of Local Governments.
This part of the meeting is chaired by the Kielce Mayor Plenipotentiary for the EU issues, who is also the member of the Targi Kielce Supervisory Board. The presentations will be delivered by the experts; Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Borkowski, EU ME, former deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paweł Kowal, the Director of the Institute of Political Science at UJK Professor Kazimierz Kik and Witold Sokała PhD representing UJK.
In addition to these programme elements the Conference Centre of Targi Kielce will also be the presentation platform for the twin town of Kielce, including Bacau (Romania), Budapest-Czepel (Hungary), Gotha (Germany), Ramla (Israel) and Winnica (Ukraine).
