KIDS' TIME FEATURES THE CONFERENCE ON CHILD-SAFETY

Research shows that three quarters of accidents involving children occur at home. Only one in three parents take into account approvals when buying a stroller.  Safety was addressed at the press-conference held on the first day of the  International Fair of Toys and Products for Mother and Child KIDS' TIME.   The press conference featured  Beata Sadowska - a journalist, Marcin Mroczek - an actor and Paweł Zawitkowski - a children physiotherapist.

Kids safety is the most important.

The house is associated with safety. This is a shelter, the place which helps the child develop in a peaceful way. According to statistics, children, especially the youngest ones are exposed numerous risks. A survey conducted by the Polish Institute of Research and Innovations and commissioned by Marko shows that 75% of accidents which required medical intervention happened at home. One in three parents do not use socket and cables covers. They do not even protect the furniture by fixing to walls or shielding sharp edges. Such experiences were presented in the course of the press conference.

By taking care of appropriate home safety parents open the great world of opportunities for their children and therefore boost their cognitive, emotional and motor development.  Well designed environment makes children eager to learn about the environment they live in, become more curious, learn new skills. Otherwise, in stressful conditions these cognitive processes may be delayed. 

A child gains a lot more. Parents are calmer - they do not overprotect children and support their way through the world.
