Korona Handball Kielce, in the first round of the national-level PGNiG Polish Cup handball tournament defeated AZS UMCS Lublin team 30:24. Despite the fact that several key players missed the game, as they were getting ready for Saturday's league matches in Kobierzyce, Tomasz Popowicz's team won without any greater prpblems. The final part of the match was certainly exciting. 52 minutes into the game; the score 24:22 for KORONA. Thanks to Agnieszka Małecka's excellent play the Kielce team managed to dominate the opposing players. The Kielce team offered spectacular game, this is mainly owed to the pivot.

Since the beginning of the season Korona Handball has enjoyed the support of Targi Kielce. The team advanced to the next round of Polish Cup, however in order to advance to 1/8 finals the PGNiG Super League team must successfully go through the next round.
