"LIST OF SUPREMACY" - HOW TO BE A BOEING 787 DREAMLINER PILOT

The meeting commenced with the Member of the Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines’ information, who pointed out that the airline keeps developing. - In 2015, we handled 4.8 million people on our decks. In 2018, we are reaching 9 million.  This means that we need both new machines and new pilots.

Currently, PLL LOT cooperates with several Polish universities, including  Rzeszów University of Technology, Higher Education Institution in Chełm, Civil Aviation Department in Dęblin and Warsaw University of Technology. The carrier runs its own flying school "LOT Flight Academy", which trains pilots who will then work on domestic routes.

Jerzy Makuła, the LOT Crew President said that in two years LOT will need about 300 pilots - I'm not speaking about small aircraft pilots - we need experienced captains to be the heads the long distance crews. The president stressed that many pilots choose better offers in other airlines. - When I started flying, we had the chanct to train in Aeroclubs or in Dęblin. Today, there are many places to practice, including private enterprises. These pilots will not fly with LOT. That is why we have resolved to sign an agreement with universities and therefore offer internships for students and discounts for LFA courses.

LFE is a program that we intend to develop - we plan to create a Higher Education Institution.  - In 2019, our fleet will expand to include more aircraft, and among them the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. That's why we have to look for experienced crew members - added Marian Wieczorek.   - In the past these large machines crews were advances in accordance with the so-called "supremacy list", today it looks a bit different. We look for support in other lines.
