"The Art of Meetings" is the 25th anniversary of Targi Kielce's motto
The gala ceremony was held on Monday, 20 November at the Teatr Polski [Polish Theatre] in Warsaw. The event was attended by almost 900 guests
- I have had the honour and also the joy of being the exhibition business for 25 years. I therefore I request you excuse my personal reflections: When 25 years ago I engaged in preparations for International Defence Industry Exhibition, the first trade fair in Kielce ever, I was the head of five-people team. Despite the many opinions that questioned the sense of that undertaking, I did not have a shade of doubt that in the success. Yet in my wildest dreams I did not think that 25 years later the Kielce trade fair centre would spring from the proverbial Cinderella and become the Polish exhibition market's leading expo centre, our part of this part of Europe's major ones. - said Andrzej Mochoń PhD, President of Board Targi Kielce at the function.
Targi Kielce The success owed to cooperation
The history is what that ceremony abounded with. This history has led Targi Kielce to the position it is in now. This would not have been possible without the involvement of many people and entities. - For 25 years, this needs to be admitted Targi Kielce has been really lucky. For example, Targi Kielce has been lucky to meet people who believed in its success, helped to create the expo centre. We were fortunate to be helped by the then Mayor of the city, Robert Rzepka and the Kielce Voivode Józef Płoskonka as well as remarkable business-milieus representatives who can be called the Kielce icons: Mr. Witold Zaraska, the creator of Kielce Exbud and Michael Sołowow who has created numerous companies. We were also fortunate that this group included as Stanisław Gieroń, the-then director in the Kielce provincial office and Roman Musiał Mesko director - said Andrzej Mochoń.
He emphasized that Targi Kielce development has been supported by the city from the very beginning. - These good relations with the City have been one of our success' factors. Others tend to be jealous about these good relations - said President Mochoń.
The Kielce Mayor Wojciech Lubawski who was also present at the gala spoke about these excellent relations. He reminded that Kielce may be called the ExpoCity. - The exhibition and congress centre is a city-creating factor. The whole city benefits from the Centre's business activity - noted President Wojciech Lubawski.
Kielce artists add extra splendour to the jubilee gala
The Targi Kielce 25th anniversary gala was staged on Monday at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw. There were almost 900 guests. The venue was not a coincidence. - If today is a holiday, i.e. the 25th anniversary of Targi Kielce's business activity, this very day must be different from all other days. We have hosted you for many years to us. Today we have come to you - explained President Mochoń.
The Jubilee at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw was gained extra splendour owing to the Kielce artists performing live. The Kielce Dance Theatre staged "Alice in Wonderland"; the dancers' performance was followed with the Kielce guitarist and composer Piotr Restecki's recital and the Fermata Chamber Choir concert. - We are convinced that Kielce is the place to do business. Yet we have decided to show you what might have come unnoticed during your visit to Kielce. - We have had the Kielce artists embark on this journey with us - said President Andrzej Mochoń.
This way he seamlessly made a transition to Targi Kielce as it is 25 years after it was founded. - What we do is based on unity - the expos you are a part of are like the colourful garden of Alice. The colours fiesta that is a part of our business activity comes in a diversity of forms, themes, work madness, often to much for us to take. We are ranked second among all Central and Eastern Europe's exhibition centres. The Expo-focussed Kielce is known on the exhibition map; not only on the Old Continent, - said President Mochoń.
