…more then jazz through Andrzej Mochoń’s camera-eye

Memorial to Miles photographic inauguration

The exhibition verisage has brought together photography, jazz an music fans

- “More than Jazz” is an exceptional parade of moments captured in still pictures; the sound levitates and resounds to the very last chord in this silent space – Stanisława Zacharko-Łagowska; the Director of Kielce Artistic Exhibition Bureau describes Andrzej Mochoń’s exhibition. The collection has been gathered for years; the exposition is a tribute to Michał Zduniak. The exhibition vernisage was held in 20th September; the display continues until 20th October

The photographs were taken in Warsaw, Bielsko-Biała, New York, Chicago or Perugis; they feature, inter alia Stanisław Soykz, Tomasz Stańko, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Leszk Możdżer, Pat Metheny, Włodek Kiniorskio. – This exhibition is a coincidence; in a sense I was coerced into it; and because I had already said yes, there was nothing left but to put my photographs into frames and present them to all those, who are interested in seeing them – says Andrzej Mochoń.

Jazz aficionados can find the exhibition a nice teaser before what is yet to come at the Targi Kielce Jazz Festival „Memorial to Miles” which commences today.

Galeria Winda, Kielce Culture Centre, 2b Moniuszki Square.
The exhibition open until 19th October.
