The annual National Conference on Nondestructive Testing and the Targi Kielce -staged expo are Poland's most important events for industrial measuring technology business sector
The conference is held for the first time in Świętokrzyskie Province, the place the Control-Tech Expo is normally staged. The three-day industry meeting brings together more than 300 specialists from Poland and abroad. The participants list includes Ir Sajeesh K Babu - Chairman of the World Organisation for Non-Destructive Testing , Vladislava Sekerasova from the Czech Association for Non-Destructive Testing and Gerd Dobmann - NDT and Quality Assurance Chair at the Saar University.
The participants are offered the opportunity to attend 36 scientific presentations in 7 problem-focussed sessions. The authors of the best presentations compete to be awarded Zdzisław Pawłowski Award for the best paper delivered by a young KKBN participant.
The event is organized by the Polish Society for Nondestructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics, the Targi Kielce team is responsible for organisational matters of the international event.
It is worth remembering that Świętokrzyskie Province has been chosen to host the conference because Kielce has been selected as the future location for modern laboratories Central Office of Measures. Other cities i.e. Kraków, Rzeszow and the towns in the vicinity of Warsaw were also competing. Kielce won thanks to its geological location and the smallest tectonic activity in Europe. In the future Kielce will offer all kinds of measurements: medical, electronic, including the most up-to-date research tests required by space industry.
