MSPO BOASTS EXTENSIVE EQUIPMENT RANGE FOR TERRITORIAL DEFENCE FORCES

Off-road vehicles, uniforms, personal weapons, grenade launchers and rocket crafted for the fifth branch of the armed forces will be put on display at the 24th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO 2016. The upcoming MSPO edition is held from 6 to 9 September in Targi Kielce

The Territorial Defence Forces equipped at MSPO

Further to establishment of the Territorial Defence Forces - the fifth Branch of Armed Forces formed by the resolution of the Ministry of National Defence, this year's  MSPO  will become the discussion platform and the place to select accessories and equipment for the new brigades. The newly created formation will eventually comprise about 35,000 people; this will have an impact on  military industry's offer. The Territorial Defence Forces will demand,  uniforms, equipment and weapons, communications systems and special vehicles in addition to other gear and equipment. The upcoming  International Defence Industry Exhibition and the accompanying  XXII International Logistics Fair LOGISTICS  will be a response to these needs and demands. The expos will be a display for 564 exhibitors, over of them 200 will present products targeted at the Territorial Defence Forces. The interest in providing equipment  for the new type Armed Forces type  has been demonstrated by both domestic and foreign companies.

 

MSPO with the Territorial Defence Forces launch

Pursuant to the Minister of National Defence, Mr Antoni Macierewicz's decision, the formation of the first  brigades will commence in September 2016. The first OT units will be created in Podlasie, Lublin and Podkarpacie regions. Over a few years, the Ministry of National Defence intends to create 17 brigades. The upcoming International Defence Industry Exhibition  will for the first time bring together representatives of  the Bureau for for Territorial Defence Force Establishment  The C Expo Hall will host a special stand of the Organizations for Safety and Security.
