Nearly 28,000 square meters of the exhibition space, 618 exhibitors from 27 countries, 67 official foreign delegations – this is nut-shell presentation of 2017's MSPO, Europe's third largest defence trade-show, ranked after Paris and London. The 25th International Defence Industry Exhibition is held in Targi Kielce from 5 to 8 September
608 exhibitors showcase their innovative products at MSPO, there are representatives of 27 countries, including: Australia, Denmark, France, Spain, Israel, Japan, Canada Germany, USA, UK and Italy. There is also a great number of Polish companies – 330. There are the six battle helicopters put on show at the expo, including the two from the PZL Swidnik (AW 101 and Gluszec) and the US Army (Apache AH-64 and Blackhawk UH-60) as well as the S-70i Black Hawk helicopter from PZL Mielec / Sikorsky Company and Mi-8MTV-1 from Aviation Company Ukrainian Helicopters.
MSPO is the stage for première presentations of its strategic partner – the Polish Armaments Group. The C, D Expo Halls and the outdoor exhibition grounds are the showcase for PGZ flagship products which enhance the Polish army modernisation.
South Korea's "Lead-Nation Exhibition"
The International Defence Industry Exhibition boasts many-year tradition of Lead Nations' Exhibitions. These Exhibitions have been a part of the Expo since 2004. 2017's MSPO features South Korea and its defence potential. Until now Germany, France, Israel, the USA, Sweden, the V4 Group Countries, Great Britain, Italy, Turkey and Norway have used Targi Kielce's MSPO as the stage to present their military equipment.
This year Targi Kielce hosts representatives of South Korea's Minister of Defence and the 20 companies. The Minister of Defence of South Korea has also announced his presence at the expo.
Important conferences at the Defence Expo
Seminars and congresses have always been an indispensable part of the Defence Expo; industry-insiders meetings provide an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences, to expand knowledge about the latest military technologies and solutions. The programme includes the conferences — "Doing business with the army – a safe way to earn money", the 2nd Internationals Scientiffic Conference "Contra vim non valet ius - symmetric risks for security – asymmetric risks for security", as well as the debate on "Innovations and the future of Poland's defence business-sector".
This year's Expo continues many-year tradition of high-profile meetings which bring together the defence industry representatives and the secretaries and under-secretaries of state of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of the Treasury, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Director of National Centre for Research and Development.
