The International Defence Industry Exhibition has again broken its own records! This year's exhibition brings together 614 companies from 30 countries, inducing: Austria, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Israel, Japan, Canada, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Republic of South Africa, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Switzerland Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Italy
The exhibitors use 27,000 square meters as the showcase for products and services. The 41 official delegations from all over the globe have confirmed their presence at the expo This is consecutive MSPO held under the auspices of the Republic of Poland President, Mr Andrzej Duda.
Strong Poland at Mspo
The Armed Forces Exhibition uses over 14 thousand square meters of exhibition space as the showcase - this year's exhibition held under the banner of: "Objective - Innovativeness" is MSPO's lead-event. The Armed Forces presentations include the presentations of:the Inspectorate of Support for the Armed Forces, the Military University of Technology, the Naval Academy and the Military Police. In addition to cutting-edge equipment, the army presents true historical gems. Tanks, artillery tractors, anti-tank cannons, aircraft engines, aircraft models and replicas have been brought to Kielce by the four museums: Polish Army, the Land Forces, the Aviation and the Navy Museums.
The 325 domestic exhibitors present strength and capabilities the Polish defense industry. The results of a close cooperation between industry and science are also put on display at PGZ Polish Armament Group's expo stands. PGZ is this year's MSPO strategic partner. The C Expo Hall is the showcase for weapons and equipment designed to be used by the armed forces, including the newly-created Territorial Defence Forces brigades. The Territorial Defence Forces are for the first time represented at International Defence Industry Exhibition by the Ministry of National Defence's Bureau for Territorial Defence Force Establishment.
Military technology comes first
For many companies, MSPO has become a traditional stage for première presentations of the latest designs, prototypes and projects. This year's trade show will be the display for the 7 helicopters presented by Airbus, PZL Swidnik, Sikorsky and PZL Mielec, TAI and Boeing. Besides Airbus H225M Caracal the expo visitors may also admire AW149 and Black Hawk.The manufacturers also show combat helicopters which run in tenders under the 9 billion PLN "Kruk [Crow]" programme. Airbus Tiger American Apache and a model of the Turkish T129 ATAK are also displayed.
Important conferences at the Defence Expo
Seminars and congresses have always been an indispensable part of the Expo; industry-insiders meetings provide an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences, to expand knowledge about the latest military technologies and solutions. The MSPO programme includes, inter alia the "Doing business with the army – a safe way to earn money" conference, the Polish Armed Forces technical modernization - priority directions for the years 2017-2019 conference, and the nationwide conference on "International Economic and Defence Cooperation."
This year's Expo continues many-year tradition of high-profile meetings which bring together the defense industry representatives and the secretaries and under-secretaries of state of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of the Treasury, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Director of National Centre for Research and Development.
Prestigious accolades for defence industry
Just like in previous years, the expo abounds with accolades and awards. On 9 September the exhibition concludes with the awarding ceremony - the best products on show earn the Republic of Poland President's Award as well as the Minister of National Defence's Special Prize and the Defender Award. Honours will also be granted by the Chief Commander of the Police, the Chief Commander of State Fire Services, the Commander in Chief of the Border Guards as well as awards of the Head of the Inspectorate for Armed Forces Support, the Commander General of General Command of Branches of Armed Forces.
