NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT FAIR - 19TH OR 21ST?

The answer to the question contained in the title seems obvious. The 19 National Employment Fair is held this year.  It should however be recalled that the tradition of holding such events in Kielce is much longer. This long-standing tradition directly triggered the OTP which can be indicated the event's number.  The same time-framework applies to Targi Kielce's cooperation with public employment services.

The first National Employment Fair was held in 1998. It was co-organized Kielce Poviat Labour Office and Targi Kielce SA, known as the "Kielce Expo Centre." The event brought together 91 exhibitors and was attracted about 5,000 visitors.

The history of Kielce's job fair is however a few years longer.  Cooperation between the Employment Office and the Kielce Exhibition Centre started already in 1995, when the second Job Opportunities Market was held.  The first Market was staged on 7 April 1994 year in the Entertainment - Sports Hall in  Żytnia Street in Kielce. The year 1998 saw the event's advancement - it then became a nationwide event.

In 2009 the Poviat Employment Office decided to discontinue the event organization and the role of co-organizer was taken over by the newly created Municipal Labour Office in Kielce. At present, the National Employment Fair is not only Świętokrzyskie largest event, but it is one of the major meetings of this kind in southern Poland. The Kielce Employment Fair is also one of the largest and oldest events of its kind in our country.
