NEW GUIDELINES FOR CONSTRUCTION BASE TESTING

The new guidelines are designed to help to adapt the Polish Instructions to be in line
with the Eurocode 7

The NEW GUIDELINES FOR CONSTRUCTION BASE TESTING  conference organiser is  - the Polish Geological Institute National Research Institute   The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways has granted its honorary patronage to the event.  The meeting was held on the second day of Autostrada Polska expo in Targi Kielce. This was the opportunity to present the latest results related to the "Guidelines for ground base studies studies for the needs of road construction. The new guidelines develop challenge was taken up by the scientific consortium composed of the Polish Geological Institute National Research Institute, AGH University of Science and Technology and Warsaw University of Technology. This new, three-part study in a comprehensive insight into the diagnostics of foundations. The project selected new, computational research methods and monitoring techniques. These will be used in the design, construction, modernization and operation of roads managed by the General Director of National Roads and Motorways." - The new guidelines are to replace the manual procedure developed more than two decades ago. The old one requires review and improvement  as well as adaptation to the Eurocode 7 - emphasized Marcin Nowacki of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways during the meeting.
