The latest bus' unveiling at the TRANSEXPO
The first day of 12th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO has been marked with long-awaited premières. Among the novelties galore put on show at TRANSEXPO there was the latest Solaris bus model. The two versions of the vehicle were put on display Urbino in its 12-metre and 18-metre mutation; the buses aroused considerable excitement among the visitors.
The frame structure design of the recently launched bus is more rigid and lighter compared to its previous version. Technology of the vehicle construction known as skin on skin provides for higher production processes' efficiency and even greater finish aesthetics. The reduced curb weight allows for further fuel economisation. The new Solaris design has also been crafted around drivers' comfort; the cabin has been placed higher for better visibility and better contact with the passengers.
Solaris objective has been to design an attractive vehicle whose looks would encourage passengers to use public transport. The passengers' comfort will make bus-users never want to switch back on their passenger cars.
