7 to 9 March - this is when the Digital Stage Europe Pro Audio and Light event was held. Acoustics students from all over Poland presented their research and shared their knowledge at the OSKA 2019. The organizers selected the best works
The National Students Conference for Sound-Engineers (OSKA) was held for the first time six years ago upon the initiative of Ela Maniakowska from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Initially, this event brought together only local students, but over time the meeting has gained popularity and aroused interest of acoustic enthusiasts from all over the country.
This year's edition of the three-day conference included a number of competitions for participants.
The OSKArec competition was held for the first time - this expanded the event’s agenda with cultural elements.
- This year, apart from being able to listen about music, we could also hear music. Ever since the beginning it has been my dream from to make OSKA reflect how interdisciplinary aspect of acoustics. You can talk about the acoustics with a biologist, a doctor of medicine, an architect and probably a few other scientists, but first of all also with a musician. This was something that we could not organize in our engineering-physical milieus. I am very happy that this year the University of Music joined the group of organisers and included this cultural element in OSKA agenda. I am very happy that we all together create such a beautiful conference. - Ela Maniakowska said during the closing ceremony
The Jury Panel was composed of the 10 specialists in the field of music, sound engineering and acoustics. The Kwiat Jabłoni sent the evaluation of the work too. "Impossible" was remixed by students taking part in the competition.
