PGZ SIGNS A NEW AGREEMENT AT THE KIELCE'S DEFENCE INDUSTRY EXHIBITION

Bell Helicopter and PGZ have signed a cooperation agreement in Targi Kielce

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence Bartosz Kownacki who visits the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Targi Kielce.

The document is step in co-operation enhancement between PGZ and Bell. In December 2016 the companies signed the letter of intent on cooperation regarding the AH-1Z "Viper" attack helicopter within the scope of  PMT "Kruk" programme". Both companies were willing to expand cooperation in other areas. This resulted in signing the new letter of intent on 18 July. This agreement extends the scope of cooperation to include, inter alia the UH-1Y "Venom" helicopter.  Both helicopters share 85% of elements, parts, systems and structures.

- The contract signed today opens for the Polish Armament Group new cooperation possibilities with Bell Helicopter,  on a more comprehensive level.  The cooperation objective is not only to provide the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland with equipment from the world's top manufacturer, but also to maximize Polish defence industry commitment  in this process.  We want Polish companies to generate job opportunities and through the technology transfer to contribute to development of Poland's economy – said Adam Lesiński, vice president of the Polish Armaments Group SA. - We intend to work together on producing parts for other aircraft.  However, this requires further negotiations -  added president Lesiński.
