At the TRANSEXPO Fair on 20th September a few dozens drivers will be given the chance to verify their skills

Drivers form all over Poland will be put to the test to demonstrate their precise driving skills

This year in Targi Kielce at the 9th The International Fair of Local Public Transport TRANSEXPO (20.09 – 22.09) the 4th Polish National Championship of Bus Drivers will be held. Until now the championship has been held in Poznan.

Not only does this spectacular event gather a great number of contestants but also enormous crowd of those who admire the professionals compete. The contest comprises two categories – tourist busses and local transport busses. The drivers’ skills will but to the test to verify their ability of precise driving, theoretical knowledge and other practical competences in the competitions which simulate real-life situations on the road.

The 3 best contestants will be selected to take part in the World Championship of Professional Drivers. And besides the contest award will also go to the best woman driver, the youngest contest participant and the best “virtual” driver in the Cargo contest for professional drivers organised with the use of a driving simulator. The busses for the competition will be provided by the MAN Company.

The main contest organiser is the popular, nationwide magazine devoted to the issues of passenger transport on the roads –Polski Traker Bus. The strategic partners of the Championship are: Targi Kielce, MAN, PGNiG, Bridgestone, Tedex, Centrum Edukacji Zawodowej CARGO (Professional Education Centre), Eberspacher, Stowarzyszenie Klub Polskiego Trakera (Polish Tracker Association Club), Ogólnopolski Związek Pracodawców Transportu Drogowego (Polish National Association of Road Transport), Zrzeszenie Międzynarodowych Przewoźników Drogowych (Association of International Road Carries), Polskie Stowarzyszenie Przewoźników Autokarowych (Polish National Association of Bus Carries), Ogólnopolski Związek Pracodawców Transportu Samochodowego (Polish National Association of Road Transport Employers) and AlcoSafe – the system to test drivers’ sobriety.

The International Fair of Local Public Transport TRANSEXPO is undoubtedly the largest event of this kind in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. In 2006 the exhibition was awarded with the European Medal for Services. TRANSEXPO is also the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry recommendation holder. In 2010 the fair brought together 150 exhibitors from 13 courtiers as well as 4500 fair visitors. The Fair has been granted with the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
