Today, within the scope of the Schools and Higher Education Institutions Fair the Targi Kielce Congress Centre was the stage for the conference attended by the Ukrainian delegation. Polish and Ukrainian speakers encouraged our eastern neighbours to take up studies in Poland
Targi Kielce and the Europe-East Integration Association organised a meeting within the scope of the 2017's Schools and Higher Education Institutions Fair. The session was targeted at the Ukrainian delegation - prospective students of Polish universities. The main argument behind meeting idea was Ukraine's citizens' always-growing interest to study in Poland.
The international conference includes presentations of Polish and Ukrainian experts, representatives of colleges and universities and among them Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, University of Lodz, the Khmelnytsky National University. On the first day of the Schools and Higher Education Institutions Fair, Omega - the largest congress hall became the platform for international meetings and a mine of practical information about Poland.
The conference hosted, inter alia Andrzej Machoń, Targi Kielce President of Board who made an introductory speech and welcomed the other speakers, guests and participants. There were also Agata Wojtyszek - the governor of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Krzysztof Kalita, President of the Europe-East Integration Association and Oksana Bondar of the Vinnytsia Regional Information Centre "Creative".
The presentations related to a number of issues important for Ukrainian students were delivered in the course of the session. The five presentations cluster was structured to provide as much information and answers as possible. Ukrainian participants had therefore a chance for thorough familiarisation of Kielce's promotional and educational offer for foreigners, insight into problems related to regulations and permits for foreign student-residents. In addition they also learned what life in Poland is like - this was the student's personal experiences based perspective. Ukrainian students' entrepreneurship and social activity in Poland were also presented. The meeting recapitulated in a debate on the conference topics - the speakers and participants were all given to air out their observations.
The international conference and educational global-village were organised by: Europe-East Integration Association, Targi Kielce, Polish Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Citizens Affairs and Foreigners Department and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Office, Vinnitsa Regional Information Centre - "Creative" and the Association of Ukrainian Students in Poland.
