The Integration Run has become an inseparable and mist welcome part of the REHMED-PLUS tradition. This year the run will have its sixths unveiling. “All those who join us at the start line, who will set off for the race – they are already the winners” said Krzysztof Głobmowicz; the journalist who has been with us as the run leader.
The Run rings together handicapped sports people who take an active part in all kinds of tournaments and Olympic games. On 19th April at 11 a.m. they will present themselves in Targi Kielce in order to cover the 600 metre distance, either on their own or assisted by their care-takers. The run route goes along a new street behind the Targi Kielce’s G Hall,.
Last year’s winner was Grzegorz Bórzyński of the Special Purpose School and Education Centre in Kielce; Grzegorz was presented with the Cup. However there are no losers in the race as each and every contestant is given a gold medal and a souvenir founded by the event’s sponsors.
The expo programme, in addition to the Run, also encompasses the boccia tournament for senior citizens, the chess competition Activ P15’ as well as fencing presentations staged by London 2012 Paralympics athletes. The tournaments are organised by Sports and Rehabilitation Association START.
We are looking forwards to seeing you at the expo; the exhibition is open to the public on 18th April (Thursday): from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on 19 April (Friday): from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 20th April (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
