SAFETY EXPERTS ARE THE WINNERS

Numerous safety-focussed competitions for young people, everyday safety and a number of contests organized by Kielce Traffic Police Department, knowledge test and obstacle course  as well as the first aid basics were the main points of the X Safety Olympics held on 16 November in Targi Kielce.  

This year's jubilee - 10th edition of the A-class SAFETY competition held in Targi Kielce was the competition arena for 14 primary schools from all corners of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. There were as many as 400 participants.  The three-person teams that have been selected in the eliminations phase compete for the safety-experts laurels.  The project objective has been to promote safe behaviour patterns in everyday life among the youngest.  The Olympics disciplines put the teams to a whole array of difficult tests, not only must pupils demonstrate theoretical knowledge but also practical skills such as first aid principles. The award winning teams - the first awards was presented to the Primary School no. 1 from Włoszczowa. A group of young people from the elementary school in Fałków boasts the best group of supporters.  Special accolades were also awarded for the best artworks.  The prizes were sponsored by the organisers and co-organizers of the Olympics, i.e.  Świętokrzyskie Voivode, Provincial Police Headquarters, Kielce WORD, KRUS - Kielce Division, Kielce Auto-mobile Club, Prevention Section of Kielce Police Headquarters.

The A-class SAFETY programme featured additional attractions - this year's edition included a meeting with the VIVE Tauron Kielce team-members. The artistic accent was offered by Black & White fitness club members from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

All participants also had a chance to talk about safe behaviour rules with the representatives of the most important institutions including   the Police, Fire Services, Auto-mobile Club Kielce, Border Guards, Municipal Police in Kielce, Centre for Foreign Missions Preparations in Kielce, KRUS Farmers' Social Security Fund, Forest Schools Complex in Zagnańsk, the National Centre for Agricultural Support, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture in Kielce, the Emergency Assistance Centre in Kielce.
